Due to the time of the year the works was awarded to us it did unfortunately fall over the Festive Christmas Period. Allied did not feel that the room would meet the health and safety regulations to host an event in the communal area. However, not to be deferred, we found a local room for hire not even a mile away from Manor Court, which our Resident Liaison Officer suitably decorated in keeping with Christmas. Due to some of the resident’s disabilities we put on a minibus transfer so that they could attend without worrying about walking or how much it will cost. We put on a full Christmas Buffet inclusive of cakes and freshly served tea and coffee. Firs Primary School was also in attendance singing their Christmas Songs and even using some of their own! It was a thoroughly enjoyed afternoon by all. Communities were brought together and each generation loved getting to know each other and the stories they had to tell. Everyone left happy and smiling ready to enjoy their Christmas.
